Oulens-sur-Lucens is a former municipality in the district of Broye-Vully in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland.On July 1, 2011 it was merged into Lucens.HistoryOulens-sur-Lucens is first mentioned around 1403-09 as Olens.GeographyOulens-sur-Lucens has an area, of 1.59km2. Of this area, 0.89km2 or 56.0% is used for agricultural purposes, while 0.55km2 or 34.6% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 0.12km2 or 7.5% is settled (buildings or roads).Of the built up area, housing and buildings made up 1.9% and transportation infrastructure made up 5.7%. Out of the forested land, 30.8% of the total land area is heavily forested and 3.8% is covered with orchards or small clusters of trees. Of the agricultural land, 25.2% is used for growing crops and 30.2% is pastures.The municipality was part of the Moudon District until it was dissolved on 31 August 2006, and Oulens-sur-Lucens became part of the new district of Broye-Vully.The municipality is located on the left side of the Broye river.
