The Montreux Jazz Café was born of Claude Nobs’ passion for music and fine dining. The Festival founder, trained as a chef, designed them as a welcoming space where cuisine and music could combine in a way never seen before.
At the Festival, proximity between the biggest musicians and the public, comfort, and an eye for details result in historic concerts and encourage the appearance of memorable moments. It’s that fine touch and know-how that we wish to share with you in our restaurants, conceived to be ambassadors of the Montreux Jazz Festival.
We offer contemporary cuisine, and our menu includes dishes crafted with the very passion so characteristic of those inimitable Montreux moments: our famous B.B. Burger, Coquelet façon Quincy Jones, and the succulent Ella’s Cheesecake.
The Festival showed great vision in recording every single concert from the very beginning, and these archives have been recognized by UNESCO through inclusion in the “Memory of the World Register”. We invite you to relive this musical odyssey at our comfortable Cafés, which feature exclusive access to the archives.

Les Montreux Jazz Café sont nés de la passion de Claude Nobs pour la musique et la gastronomie. Le fondateur du Montreux Jazz Festival, cuisinier de formation, les a imaginés comme un lieu convivial où la cuisine et la musique puissent se mêler de manière unique.
Au Festival, la proximité entre les plus grands artistes et leur public, le confort et le sens du détail, résultent en des concerts historiques et favorisent l’apparition de moments rares. C’est cette touche fine, ce savoir-faire que nous souhaitons vous faire partager dans ces restaurants conçus comme des ambassades du Montreux Jazz Festival.
Nous vous proposons une cuisine contemporaine, au travers d’une carte comprenant des mets élaborés avec cette même passion et inspirée d’instants typiquement « montreusiens » : notre fameux B.B. Burger, le coquelet façon Quincy Jones ou encore le succulent Ella’s Cheesecake.
Visionnaire, le Festival a enregistré minutieusement tous ses concerts depuis les débuts : un patrimoine audiovisuel unique au monde et inscrit au programme « Mémoire du monde » de l’Unesco.
