Lavin is a former municipality in the district of Inn in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. On 1 January 2015 the former municipalities of Lavin and Susch merged into the municipality of Zernez.HistoryLavin is first mentioned in the 12th century as Lawinis.GeographyLavin had an area, of 46.2km2. Of this area, 19.9% is used for agricultural purposes, while 18.3% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 0.6% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (61.2%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains).The former municipality is located in the Sur Tasna sub-district of the Inn district on the left bank of the Inn river.
