The Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC) is the leading international body that monitors and analyses situations of people internally displaced by conflict, generalised violence, human rights violations, and natural or human-made disasters.

IDMC raises awareness and advocates for respect of the rights of at-risk and uprooted peoples, who do not benefit from the protection of international treaties. It also aims to promote durable solutions for internally displaced persons (IDPs), through return, local integration or settlement elsewhere in the country.
