Denges is a municipality in the Swiss canton of Vaud, located in the district of Morges.HistoryDenges is first mentioned around 1107-11 as apud Dangias. In 1164 it was mentioned as Denges.GeographyDenges has an area, of 1.7km2. Of this area, 0.82km2 or 49.4% is used for agricultural purposes, while 0.09km2 or 5.4% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 0.75km2 or 45.2% is settled (buildings or roads), 0.02km2 or 1.2% is either rivers or lakes.Of the built up area, industrial buildings made up 6.0% of the total area while housing and buildings made up 13.9% and transportation infrastructure made up 22.9%. while parks, green belts and sports fields made up 1.8%. Out of the forested land, all of the forested land area is covered with heavy forests. Of the agricultural land, 30.7% is used for growing crops, while 18.1% is used for orchards or vine crops.
