Villars-sur-Glâne is a municipality in the district of Sarine in the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland.GeographyVillars-sur-Glâne has an area, of 5.5km2. Of the rest of the land, 2.83km2 or 51.5% is settled (buildings or roads), 0.07km2 or 1.3% is either rivers or lakes.Of the built up area, industrial buildings made up 4.9% of the total area while housing and buildings made up 27.7% and transportation infrastructure made up 13.8%. Power and water infrastructure as well as other special developed areas made up 2.7% of the area while parks, green belts and sports fields made up 2.4%. Out of the forested land, all of the forested land area is covered with heavy forests. Of the agricultural land, 16.8% is used for growing crops and 12.0% is pastures.
