Geschichte

United World Wrestling is the international governing body for all wrestling styles practiced around the world. The following disciplines are developed under its authority:

Olympic Wrestling (Freestyle, Female Wrestling and Greco-Roman), Traditional Wrestling, Beach Wrestling, Grappling and Pankration

Unsere Aufgabe

To encourage the development of all wrestling styles in all countries of the world.

To represent the interests of all wrestling styles towards the International Olympic Committee, SportAccord and other international sport organizations.

To promote friendly relations between all National Federations and athletes engaging in the disciplines governed by United World Wrestling.

To establish and distribute international rules for the different wrestling styles and to supervise their application at all United World Wrestling sanctioned international events.
