Troistorrents is a municipality in the district of Monthey in the canton of Valais in Switzerland.GeographyTroistorrents has an area, of 37km2. Of this area, 13.54km2 or 36.6% is used for agricultural purposes, while 19.14km2 or 51.8% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 2.72km2 or 7.4% is settled (buildings or roads), 0.21km2 or 0.6% is either rivers or lakes and 1.34km2 or 3.6% is unproductive land.Of the built up area, housing and buildings made up 4.6% and transportation infrastructure made up 2.3%. Out of the forested land, 47.5% of the total land area is heavily forested and 2.9% is covered with orchards or small clusters of trees. Of the agricultural land, 0.0% is used for growing crops and 8.9% is pastures and 27.1% is used for alpine pastures. All the water in the municipality is flowing water.The municipality includes the village of Morgins.It is located in the Val d'Illiez. It is the starting point to reach Morgins via the Val de Morgins.
