Sisseln is a municipality in the district of Laufenburg in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland.GeographySisseln has an area, of 2.52km2. Of this area, 0.82km2 or 32.5% is used for agricultural purposes, while 0.5km2 or 19.8% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 0.89km2 or 35.3% is settled (buildings or roads), 0.38km2 or 15.1% is either rivers or lakes.Of the built up area, industrial buildings made up 9.5% of the total area while housing and buildings made up 6.0% and transportation infrastructure made up 12.7%. Power and water infrastructure as well as other special developed areas made up 5.6% of the area while parks, green belts and sports fields made up 1.6%. Out of the forested land, 13.9% of the total land area is heavily forested and 6.0% is covered with orchards or small clusters of trees. Of the agricultural land, 27.4% is used for growing crops and 4.8% is pastures.
