Ponthaux is a municipality in the district of Sarine in the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland.HistoryPonthaux is first mentioned in 1142 as Pontet.GeographyPonthaux, has an area of 5.9km2. Out of the forested land, all of the forested land area is covered with heavy forests. Of the agricultural land, 49.0% is used for growing crops and 19.6% is pastures, while 2.2% is used for orchards or vine crops.The municipality is located in the Sarine district.
