We decided to open Pâtachou after seeing a clear need in the region for fresh, healthy, bio-focused prepared food. As the world moves faster and faster – and we are consumed more and more by busy schedules and pulled in different directions by varying responsibilities and priorities, our health is suffering. We are bombarded daily by highly-processed food that is full of chemicals and stripped of its nutritional value. Due to our increasingly busy lifestyles, we are often forced to choose these processed ‘foods’ to feed our families. It was with this realization that Pâtachou was born. Being busy should not negate the ability to feed ourselves and our families delicious and healthful food.
At Pâtachou we believe that foods should come from the earth and nature. We try to procure as many bio choices as we can and we grow many of our own fruits and veggies on a few hectares of land in Vich. Each day at Pâtachou you will find a variety of sandwiches, salads, soups, specialty baked goods such as crackers, cookies and breads.
Pâtachou will offer a full espresso bar to fulfill all of your coffee desires and needs! We will offer classic American drip coffee, espresso, lattés, cappucino, flavored lattés and homemade chai lattés. These drinks can be served hot or iced, with milk, skim, soy or rice milk. We will also have a variety of artisinale teas to choose from.
Grég will prepare a variety of viennoisserie items and pastries daily. We consider these items treats but a HUGE part of our Suisse Romande culture. We will however, always use the freshest ingredients as possible, including eggs from our chickens that we raise in Vich. Furthermore, we will never choose to use margarine rather than natural butter.
Having a party? We can serve your guests fresh, beautiful, delicious treats. We specialize in parties for 75 people or less. Grég, of course, will be thrilled to produce the cake of your dreams!
At Pâtachou you will also be able to purchase many American and English treats, some artisanal food items (such as bio British small batch cheeses or truly special hand-pressed nut oils) and finally a small retail selection that focuses on eco-friendly items.
Pâtachou will be opened to the public in August 2013. Until then we are focusing on our wholesale and catering business. We are currently providing baked goods to La Lignière, a pillar of the health and wellness community, and a variety of other clients. We look forward to serving all of your needs – big or small for adults and children!
