Mauraz is a municipality of the canton of Vaud in Switzerland, located in the district of Morges.HistoryMauraz is first mentioned in 1324 as Moraz. In 1547 it was mentioned as Moura.GeographyMauraz has an area, of 0.5km2. Of this area, 0.38km2 or 76.0% is used for agricultural purposes, while 0.05km2 or 10.0% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 0.04km2 or 8.0% is settled (buildings or roads).Of the built up area, housing and buildings made up 8.0% and transportation infrastructure made up 0.0%. Out of the forested land, all of the forested land area is covered with heavy forests.
