Lully is a municipality in the Swiss canton of Vaud, located in the district of Morges.HistoryLully is first mentioned in 1018 as Lulliacum.GeographyLully has an area, of 2.1km2. Of this area, 1.33km2 or 64.9% is used for agricultural purposes, while 0.26km2 or 12.7% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 0.42km2 or 20.5% is settled (buildings or roads) and 0.01km2 or 0.5% is unproductive land.Of the built up area, housing and buildings made up 13.7% and transportation infrastructure made up 6.3%. Out of the forested land, all of the forested land area is covered with heavy forests. Of the agricultural land, 42.4% is used for growing crops and 4.4% is pastures, while 18.0% is used for orchards or vine crops.The municipality was part of the Morges District until it was dissolved on 31 August 2006, and Lully became part of the new district of Morges.The municipality is located westward of the Morges river.
