Geschichte

Donations are not always distributed equally amongst projects, nor used as effectively as they could be. Generally, high-profile projects receive more donations than they need, whereas smaller, less well-known projects frequently lack funding, both for running costs and for essential capital expenditure. Such projects often have barely enough funding to enable them to buy food and keep a roof above their heads. For this reason, Kidz Planet only supports projects which are really in need of help.

Before we decide to support a project, we assess its aims, its management and ist transparency. We also look at how well it is integrated in the local community and how financially stable it is. We only support projects which offer unconditional support to children and young adults and which do not use nationality, sex, religion or ethnicity as selection criteria for project beneficiaries.

Kidz Planet operates independently of politics and religion. We cooperate with organisations when we consider it worthwhile to do so, and strive to exchange knowledge, improve effectiveness, capitalise on synergies and develop a network of contacts. Independence is a key factor – both in terms of the projects we support and the project partners with whom we work – and means we can ensure that our funding is used objectively.

We use donated funds to make direct contributions, according to the needs of the given project.
