How to find our place?
As there is no street names and house numbers you will just have this description, but its really easy to find the place in any case, the village is so small. You see the church. Go / drive there, our house is on the opposite side of the street from the church. It is the building with a restaurant downstairs. The houses address is the same as its name: Haus Alphuebel, 3929 Täsch.
Shuttle train from Täsch to Zermatt village and mountains
The train between Täsch and Zermatt goes up to 6 times per hour during the busiest time of the day. It is really convenient, you step out of the train and you are immediately next to the ski lifts and in the middle of the Zermatt village. If you are a night owl there is a train going even all night true once an hour.

Description of our apartment in Haus Alphuebel:
Our apartment is charming and functional, fresh and modern. It is relatively big, 120 m2 and suites well 6 - 8 people and sometimes we have been 10 people there for just a weekend, but that is not so comfortable anymore.
We have 3 bedrooms. 2 bedrooms are downstairs and have 160 cm wide mattresses (and there are in both of these rooms still enough space for a baby cot if needed). Upstairs we have a third bedroom where we have 4 good quality mattresses on the floor to be placed as the guests wants them. In all rooms we have plenty of blankets and pillows, own hairdryers, mirrors and some space for storage.
In our living room we have a big TV, DVD-player, CD, two cozy sofas (of which one is a bed sofa and also inside of this we storage even more blankets and pillows)… Its a great area for relaxing after a day out…
In our kitchen we have all you can wish for for preparing a great dinner or other meals. We have a big kitchen table and you can make it really beautiful with candles and different kind of porcelain. We have a coffee nespresso coffee machine and also a french press coffee can. We leave some spices and basics like bin bags, dish brushes etc, so what you need to bring is just the fresh food you want to have, or also if you wish some more special spices you better bring them along, too.
There is a balcony with four seats and a small table where you can enjoy your afternoon coffee in the sun! Or drink wine in the night, as you prefer!
Kids are welcome to our apartment! We have 2 baby travel beds, blankets and linen for kids, 2 feeding chairs, porcelain and cutlery for kids, some toys, some films, bath tube, 2 big sledges, 1 baby sledge and one Davos-sledge.
We are allergic and therefore no animals are allowed, not even for a short visit, unfortunately.
Bathroom is in the lower floor and has both a shower cabinet and a bath tube. In the bathroom we have a very efficient hairdryer and leave some basic daily cosmetics for your use.
There are washer and dryer and washing detergents for your use. Also vacuum cleaner and cleaning items are for your use. The final cleaning is included the price, so don't worry for that, just keep up a nice standard for making your stay nice.
Outdoor clothing and shoes can and shall be left in the stairway. You can bring soft and warm indoor shoes with you, that is cozy to have, or slippers which you can use in the stairways when the floors might get wet from your out door shoes, but our floor indoors is too delicate for outdoor shoes, please respect this.
In the basement we have place for skis and ski shoe warmers. Also sledges and strollers and other outdoor things can be storage here. Use the same key as to the apartment. (You find the basement under the stairs to the house)
More specific instructions I will send per mail after you have done your booking. I also leave information in the flat so you easily find it when you stay at our place.

In Zermatt you can find many great restaurants. The variety is big: you find many which serve local food, but also japanese, chinese, many italian restaurants, french… You find great local bakeries, mountain style Mc Donalds, sausage sold on the street and then the top restaurants where you go to celebrate, not to forget the very cozy mountain restaurants which you must visit during your stay!
Molino is a n easy italian with really good pizzas, flirty and nice italian style service, kids welcome and the restaurant is in the middle of the village. Bahnhofstrasse 52
Hotel Post A more proper restaurant with great food, good atmosphere and nice interior: fine but not stiff and excellent for a dinner with good friends or your partner. If you feel for having one more glass… go to the bar and order a mojito. Great choice, but this is when you might miss the next train back home.
Mountain restaurants which you have to experience! You hike or ski there and enjoy the fresh air and thereafter you get your very nice drink and a tasty meal. This is mountain style!!!
