I came to work fairly close to Baden. If you need to be at the train station everyday this is a great place to stay. Plus there is a bunch of stuff to do around train station which is the old town of Baden. Also, its great for relaxing, this apartment is directly on the river bank. The room is cleaned every two weeks usually on a Monday. You also have a shared kitchen but the dished and cutlery is kinda sketch, you may want to wash it before you use it at all. Also, the person I was in contact with was great and responsive. The wifi of the place was pretty great and didn't dip that much during peak traffic hours. Now the problems of the places, during the summer it gets warm and there wasn't a fan or air con. You could open the windows but you are gonna get a face full of bugs. Another thing is that they only book places by the month, so even you stay for an additional week good luck because you going to be paying till the end of the month. Also, in the shared bathroom there isn't any hand soap or toilet paper. That was super annoying. You have to pay to use the laundry which is fine except the dryer is extremely weak even on the highest setting and will take 2 hours on a load that isn't even half full.

Nice apartment well located in Baden. If you want adventure and regular conflicts, this is the place to go. - Dryer did not dry clothes, only made noise. Called 3x. Took 2 weeks. - Dish washer did not work. Called 3x. Took 2 weeks as well. - Lack of cutlery (3 forks...). The brought some more after a few days. - Fridge froze the food. They came to fix it after 4 days. - Not enough pillows (3 pillows for 4 people) - No vacuum cleaner to clean the place. Had to ask 3 times, took 1.5 weeks to get it. - We asked to extend of a month as we did not have a final apartment yet, price per night increased. The greatest display of poor customer interaction was forcing us to pay an extra night (Sunday, Nov 1st) because the staff does not work on Saturday and therefore we could not hand over the keys. If you want to experience frustration, disdain, conflict, this is the right location for you. You'll love it!

I came to Switzerland for work in Lupfig and they put me up in Glandon Apartments Zum Schiff location in Baden. The location was convenient. Walking to the train station only took about 5-8 minutes and most of the walk is right along the Limmat river on the back side of the apartment building. Baden also has a fair amount of stuff to do right around the train station. General This is definitely minimalist and will work great if you don't plan on spending much time in the apartment which, if you're visiting Switzerland, I'd recommend traveling around both within and to the neighboring countries as much as you can. The room is cleaned every 2 weeks on Monday or Tuesday. They do a quick sweep and replace the linens. Size I stayed in one of the single rooms, which is 15 square meters according to their brochure, which is about 160 square feet. This is almost exactly half the size of the average hotel room is the US (according to a google search result article by USAToday). "Kitchen" I say "kitchen" because it's a floor to ceiling cabinet that's about 3ft wide. When opened, it reveals a sink, two electric cook tops, a mini fridge, a microwave, some pantry room and silverware/dishes. I often had to use the small table to set things out when cooking because there really isn't any room by the burners. They say it's "fully equipped" and I guess it is if you consider ovens and dishwashers extravagant extras. It's definitely enough to get by. Bed The bed's quite small. Fine for one person, but I had my girlfriend visiting for a few weeks and she brought an inflatable ground pad that we took turns sleeping on. TV The TV worked well enough, but if you speak English and not German or Swiss-German (apparently there's a huge difference), then don't plan on watching much. I tried turning on the subtitles to English, but apparently English subtitles aren't supported on most of the channels, so it was just German with German subtitles. WiFi The wifi was decent sometimes, but half of the time it was really slow. I didn't test the speed, but I'm guessing it slowed down due to heavy usage . If I had multiple devices, sometimes I would turn one off to get slightly better results. Staff/Service I was put in contact with Mareike Karaschewski if I needed anything. About 5 weeks in to my stay, I sent an e-mail to her requesting the shower drain get cleared and the lights in the kitchenette hood get replaced, as they didn't turn on. The same day she sent a guy over and he took care of everything. So, contrary to the first review, I thought the service was excellent. Laundry You have to pay to use the laundry and the dryer is pretty weak, so either small loads or long dry times. Two rooms with one set each are shared by each floor. Summary Good location, good service, minimalist room.
