Galerie Tschudi Zuoz
Galerie Tschudi promotes international and Swiss contemporary art, showcasing established artists and newcomers alike. The Gallery holds solo and group shows, work with international institutions, participats in international art fairs, and publishes art catalogues and artists’ monographs. Galerie Tschudi was founded in 1985 by Ruedi Tschudi and Elsbeth Bisig in Glarus (about 60 km south-east of Zurich). In December 2002 they opened a second Gallery in Zuoz/Engadine. In the last years Zuoz became the main gallery where all the exhibitions take place. Removed from the urban centers of art, the Gallery has pursued a consistent program for years, primarily with most renowned representatives of Minimal Art, Land Art, and Arte Povera such as Carl Andre, Alan Charlton, Richard Long, Mario Merz. The gallery’s programming was continuously widened to include the work of artists who follow new paths in contemporary art, such as Bethan Huws, Niele Toroni, Callum Innes, Su-Mei Tse, Kimsooja and Julian Charrière.
