Füllinsdorf is a municipality in the district of Liestal in the canton of Basel-Country in Switzerland.HistoryFüllinsdorf is first mentioned in 825 as Firinisvilla. In 1225-26 it was mentioned as Vilistorf.GeographyFüllinsdorf has an area, of 4.61km2. Of this area, 1.71km2 or 37.1% is used for agricultural purposes, while 1.49km2 or 32.3% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 1.4km2 or 30.4% is settled (buildings or roads), 0.03km2 or 0.7% is either rivers or lakes.Of the built up area, industrial buildings made up 5.0% of the total area while housing and buildings made up 15.6% and transportation infrastructure made up 5.0%. Power and water infrastructure as well as other special developed areas made up 3.0% of the area while parks, green belts and sports fields made up 1.7%. Out of the forested land, 29.7% of the total land area is heavily forested and 2.6% is covered with orchards or small clusters of trees. Of the agricultural land, 17.4% is used for growing crops and 12.4% is pastures, while 7.4% is used for orchards or vine crops. All the water in the municipality is flowing water.The municipality is located in the Liestal district. The old village was built on the hillside above the Ergolz valley.
