Geschichte

FriMUN is a faculty-independent, constructive forum at University of Fribourg open for dialogue on complex global issues of international politics and economics.

Our main goal is to become an interactive form of education, in which students can learn and experience basic principles of diplomacy and improve their debate skills. Students will be challenged to spontaneously defend their country’s national policy, balancing those interests with the needs of the international community, while confronting the boundaries of international negotiation and of their own personal belief.

Furthermore, we provide a great opportunity for all of those who wish toimprove their English level. But don’t be scared, as mentioned before, the English level taught in high school level is highly sufficient to be part in the debates, and you are encouraged to participate whenever you feel comfortable to! That is our criteria to welcome a greater number of people to be part of this experience.

FriMUN is not only about brains, CV, and hard work, but also about fun: by participating in JUNES and wide-reaching MUN conferences, we seek on having a good time and meeting many other students in Switzerland and in everywhere else in the world. The friends and contacts we make during those experiences are probably the most significant aspect for many MUN delegates, and it’s what drives thousands of students
