Franklin University Switzerland is a US- and Swiss-accredited nonprofit university based in Lugano, Switzerland. The University offers bachelor's and master's degree programs in a highly international and cross-cultural academic learning environment.

Franklin University Switzerland is located on a hillside above Lugano, the principal city of Switzerland’s southernmost Italian-speaking canton of Ticino. An American liberal arts institution in an international environment, Franklin is fully accredited in the United States by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and in Switzerland by the Swiss University Conference.

Franklin places extraordinary emphasis on cross-cultural perspectives, an emphasis designed to affect the direction and meaning of a student’s college experience, life and career. A commitment to courses of study that are international in perspective and cross-cultural in content has been the cornerstone of our educational mission since our founding in 1969. In fact, we classify this need as the international imperative in education.

Franklin University Switzerland awards the Bachelor of Arts degree in a number of academic areas, each enhanced by the opportunities afforded by our European location, as well as the exemplary qualifications of our faculty.

Original I have really enjoyed my experience at Franklin so far, as I feel that the Professors are very well versed in their fields and are great teachers. The small school environment allows for more involvement and contribution in the classroom and teachers are able to cater to your needs if necessary. the campus is nice and Franklin's location makes it very accessible to travel. The Academic travel program is my favorite part about Franklin as it allows the ability to take what I am learning in the classroom and apply it to a real-life setting through studying on location. I do also feel like Franklin has many areas for improvement such as guidance and assistance regarding classes I should be taking, as well as students' access to mental health services on and off campus, the on campus food options very expensive and virtually no vegetarian options among others.

From the beginning I was met with warmth, honesty and curiosity. There has been no exception to this, from any faculty member, and I have encountered most of them. This care, warmth, genuity and kindness has followed through the whole process. This diverse university with its genuine and caring faculty allows for a understanding, equal community where individuals are treated with respect.  I have had the privilege to study with a diverse group of people. The university's choise of the students who collaborate and study together has brought great value, they have done and excellent job in brining us together.  A great deal of consideration is put into ensuring the best learning experience for all students through out the process. If Franklin University Switzerland is the place you want to study, remember that even if not accepted the first time you apply, it doesn't mean you are rejected or not suitable. It might be timing or bound to the experience you will have based on other applicants at the time. I strongly urge all students who are interested in this university to apply and if needed to re-apply.
