Outdoor activities are gaining more and more interest and play an important role in the year-long planning of the sports enthusiasts. The trend is fostered by people’s search for the original and genuine and a desire to challenge oneself. Outdoor enthusiasts desire the competition amidst unspoilt and free nature and spectacular scenery as host venue. The race series Ultraks takes trail-running in summer and ski-mountaneering in winter to the most attractive summits in the European Alps and invites amateurs and pros alike to compete in front of the most breathtaking backdrops.

Apart form the beautiful location, St. Moritz and Prontresina have a lot more to offer: a perfect mix of nature, culture and sport. St. Moritz is known to be one of the world’s most elegant, exclusive and sophisticated holiday destinations. Located in the midst of Upper Engadin lake region at 1856m, the town offers its visitors an exceptional ambience. Pontresina on the other hand, is the small, but very appealing neighbouring town with its special traditional flair.

All three Ultraks categories, the “Pitschen”, “Media” and “Grand” course, start off in the centre of Pontresina and lead along two course loops in the enthralling Engadin mountain region. The Engadin St. Moritz Ultraks leads along the Piz Muragl situated above Pontresina as well as into the Rosatsch region surrounding St. Moritz. The “Media” and “Grand” courses will take place in front of the mighty backdrop of the Piz Surlej and of the Piz Corvatsch.

Due the detailed markings and safety regulations along the courses, even less experienced participants will have the chance to complete the race in the beautiful Pontresina mountain region.

Furthermore, Engadin St. Moritz Ultraks offer all spectators and supporters a real event highlight: live commentary in the start and finish area as well as fun and entertainment all race long. Supporters can utilise the well-connected Engadin mountain cable-car in order to experience the entire race, get to the key sections of the course or cheer their favourite competitors from start to finish.

Engadin St. Moritz Ultraks aims to set another milestone in trailrunning history. After successfully hosting the Matterhorn Ultraks events, it is time to take over the Eastern Alps as well.



Neben der wunderschönen Lage bieten St. Moritz und Pontresina eine optimale Mischung aus Natur, Kultur und Sport. St. Moritz ist einer der bekanntesten Ferienorte der Welt: schick, elegant und exklusiv. Mit seinem außergewöhnlichen Ambiente liegt es auf 1856m inmitten der Oberengadiner Seenplatte. Pontresina ist der kleine aber feine Nachbarort mit dem besonderen Flair.

Alle drei Ultraks-Kategorien, die Strecken „Pitschen“, „Media“ und „Grand“, starten in der Mitte von Pontresina und führen über zwei Loop-Strecken in die spannende Bergwelt des Engadins. Die Engadin St. Moritz Ultraks führen zum einen entlang des Piz Muragl oberhalb Pontresinas sowie zum anderen in das Gebiet des Rosatsch rund um St. Moritz. Die „Media“ und „Grand“-Strecken werden sich vor der mächtigen Kulisse des Piz Surlej und des Piz Corvatsch abspielen.

Dank markierter und gesicherter Routen wird auch den weniger erfahrenen Teilnehmern die Möglichkeit geboten, einen ihrem Niveau entsprechenden Lauf in der wunderschönen Bergwelt von Pontresina zu absolvieren.

Darüber hinaus bieten die Engadin St. Moritz Ultraks den mitgereisten Zuschauern und Begleitpersonen ein echtes Event-Erlebnis. Im Start- und Zielbereich bieten wir Live-Kommentar der Zieleinläufe sowie Spass und Unterhaltung. Zuschauern ist zudem die Möglichkeit gegeben, sich durch das hervorragende Netz der Engadiner Bergbahnen an Schlüsselstellen des Rennens zu begeben, um ihre Favoriten nicht nur beim Start und Ziel, sondern auch während des Wettkampfes aus nächster Nähe anzufeuern.

Mit den Engadin St. Moritz Ultraks möchten wir einen weiteren Meilenstein in der Geschichte des Trailruns setzen. Nach den sehr erfolgreichen Ultraks Events am Matterhorn ist es nun an der Zeit, auch die östlichen Alpen zu erobern.

Die Engadin St. Moritz Ultraks werden von Outdoor Unlimited Sarl mit Sitz in Genf organisiert. Wir sind ein Team von Lauf- und Skienthusiasten mit großer Erfahrung im Sporteventbereich.

Unser Team besteht aus Mitarbeitern aus der Schweiz und aus Deutschland. Unser Sportmarketing Know-How wird gespeist aus Sporthighlights, wie dem America’s Cup im Segeln, der Tour de France, der Eishockey-WM und anderen großen Sportveranstaltungen.
