Info The International Trade Centre (ITC)’s SheTrades initiative aims to connect 3 million women entrepreneurs and women-owned businesses to international markets by 2021. Join this movement: www.shetrades.com Geschichte Women make up half the world’s population and yet comprise 70% of the poor. Women reinvest up to 90% of their income in their families, helping break inter-generational poverty. Women make a significant contribution to the economy however women entrepreneurs remain largely invisible to those mandated to serve exporters and entrepreneurs. The purpose of the Women and Trade Programme is to increase the economic benefits business women in developing countries derive from their participation in international trade. We do this by working with Policy and Decision Makers, Trade Support Institutions (TSIs) and women Entrepreneurs collaboratively.
