Geschichte The Dariu Foundation (TDF) is a Swiss-based international non-governmental organization working in Vietnam since 2003, with activities focusing on microfinance, scholarships for poor students, funding to build kindergartens, and computer skills training and financial education via mobile schools. Today it is providing microfinance services to around 17,000 low income households in Dong Nai and Vinh Long provinces, awarding 1,500-2,000 scholarships, building 2-3 kindergartens and training around 7,000-10,000 students via mobile schools on computer, internet and financial education every year. Our History 2002 Established in Switzerland 2003 Operating in Tan Phu district, Dong Nai province, Vietnam, with three projects of microfinance, kindergarten building and scholarships 2007 Opening its office in Ho Chi Minh city, at this time, it was offering microfinance services to 1,800 clients with a total portfolio of around $150,000 and 15 staff members. 2008 Operating in two districts of Vinh Long Province, 180 km west of Ho Chi Minh City 2011 Launching the first mobile school in Vietnam 2013 Partnering with HSBC and Intel to expand the Mobile School projects to increase its training capacity to 7000 students a year with 7 mobile schools 2014 Expanding its mobile school project to Myanmar. 2014 Serving 17,000 clients with microfinance, granting 9,000 scholarships, building +20 kindergartens and training 50,000 students with computer skills and financial education
