Kleindietwil is a former municipality in the Oberaargau administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. On 1 January 2011 Kleindietwil and Leimiswil were merged with the municipality of Madiswil.GeographyKleindietwil has an area, of 2.68km2. Of this area, 1.59km2 or 59.3% is used for agricultural purposes, while 0.79km2 or 29.5% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 0.28km2 or 10.4% is settled (buildings or roads), 0.02km2 or 0.7% is either rivers or lakes and 0.02km2 or 0.7% is unproductive land.Of the built up area, industrial buildings made up 1.1% of the total area while housing and buildings made up 5.2% and transportation infrastructure made up 3.4%. 28.4% of the total land area is heavily forested and 1.1% is covered with orchards or small clusters of trees. Of the agricultural land, 26.1% is used for growing crops and 30.2% is pastures, while 3.0% is used for orchards or vine crops. Over the last 10 years the population has decreased at a rate of -10.3%. Most of the population speaks German, with Albanian being second most common and French being third .In the 2007 election the most popular party was the SVP which received 39.2% of the vote. The next three most popular parties were the SPS, the Green Party and the FDP .
