But, you still have the impression that ethical clothing is not fashionable?

It's not like that anymore!
In fact, eco-friendly fashion is a fast growing movement in the fashion world.
More and more celebrities, fashionistas and fashion designers are becoming organic fashion lovers.

Dewachen Design believes that sustainable fashion "must be" the future of fashion industry
and therefore aims to create environmentally friendly and socially responsible clothing.

Our Inspiration...
According to Earth Pledge, a non-profit organization (NPO) committed to promoting and supporting sustainable development, "At least 8,000 chemicals are used to turn raw materials into textiles and 25% of the world's pesticides are used to grow non-organic cotton. This causes irreversible damage to people and the environment, and still two thirds of a garment's carbon footprint will occur after it is purchased.
UK eco pioneer and former British Designer of the year Katharine Hamnett said: “The effect of the clothing industry has more impact on climate change than if the entire world signed the Kyoto Agreement.“

The best way to make an impact on climate change would be
to turn the clothing industry towards eco-friendly production.

In action.
The nonprofit Sustainable Technology Education Project (STEP) defines eco-fashion as clothes “that take into account the environment, the health of consumers and the working conditions of people in the fashion industry.”

At Dewachen Design we enjoy to create fashion and style that does not harm the person who made it or the environment.
We consider the source, sustainability and the process of transformation, when choosing our fabrics.
We will not just create trendy, disposable fashion for one season only, but enduring stylish basic pieces you want to wear everyday.

With Dewachen Design we want to be more than just a fashion lable. We do provide a creative workplace with sound career opportunities, as well as employment with fair conditions.
It is our aim to setup creative camps for kids and inspire them for ECO-Fashion and to support adult education in remote villages.
We love Fashion and Style but also our Environment very much.
Turning our Fashion Business into a role model for Eco-Fashion is our dream, mission and reason to create Dewachen Design.
