Büren is a municipality in the district of Dorneck in the canton of Solothurn in Switzerland.HistoryBüren is first mentioned in 1194 as Buoron. In 1317 it was mentioned as Bürron.GeographyBüren has an area, of 6.23km2. Of this area, 2.92km2 or 46.9% is used for agricultural purposes, while 2.84km2 or 45.6% is forested.
