Bottenwil is a municipality in the district of Zofingen in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland.HistoryBottenwil is first mentioned in 1189 as Botanwile.GeographyBottenwil has an area, of 5.1km2. Out of the forested land, 39.8% of the total land area is heavily forested and 2.5% is covered with orchards or small clusters of trees. Of the agricultural land, 15.7% is used for growing crops and 30.8% is pastures, while 2.0% is used for orchards or vine crops. All the water in the municipality is flowing water.The municipality is located in the Zofingen district, in the upper Uerkental.
