Certified from London’s acclaimed Academy of Freelance Make Up, Melissa and Veeda are the heartbeat of Base Studio. Both with an artistic flair and genuine passion for makeup, they set-off to London together in 2010 and haven’t looked back.

Lucky enough to have been mentored by some of the most inspiring people in fashion, and shooting campaigns for the likes of Jasper Garvida and Roland Mouret, they are equipped with latest techniques to create naturally flawless skin and enhance the true beauty within you!

Together they’ve created looks for magazines including Harpers Bazaar, Conde Naste Traveller, Time Out, Times Magazine and Emirates Woman, along with making-up high profile faces such as Rita Ora, Juan Betancourt, Annette Winkler and Paloma Picasso.

Melissa now lives in Dubai and is available across the Middle East, whilst Veeda is based in Geneva and covers Europe. They offer a full suite of hair and makeup services to private clients including bridal, editorial, party and high-end fashion. They also offer corporate clients a beauty consultancy service by providing and managing teams of hair and makeup artists for large-scale corporate productions.
