Ariel Foundation International (AFI) was founded by Dr Ariel Rosita King on 1 January 2002. AFI is a non-profit organisation that promotes public-private partnerships, peace and prosperity through entrepreneurship, leadership and community service worldwide. AFI developed initiatives and programs includes: Lesotho Experience Through Service, Ariana’s Closet, Readers Lead and Leaders Read, Global Children’s Service Day, International Children’s Day, AFI Youth Summit on Children’s Human Rights, AFI Summit -UN on the Right to Development, and AFI Changemakers-UN.

AFI CHANGEMAKERS
AFI Changemakers at the United Nations is a young leaders (18-30) platform sponsored by Ariel Foundation International. AFI Changemakers from across the globe connect, collaborate and contribute to the work activities of the United Nations.
AFI Changemakers are committed to strengthening the voice of youth in international development and human rights at a national, international and particularly a United Nations level. The first two AFI Changemakers Summits, held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, in December 2013 and December 2014 focused upon the “Right to Development”, while in February 2015, the AFI Changemakers held a summit upon the “Right to Health and Access to Medicines” with the UN Social Forum. Upcoming events include participation in the World Health Assembly in May 2015.

AFI YOUTH SUMMIT ON CHILDREN’S HUMAN RIGHTS
The AFI Youth Summit on Children’s Human Rights is an opportunity for all children aged 8 to 17 years to express their ideas on children’s rights and the world they live in through active participation in games, art, media and discussion. This is a parallel event of the 28th Human Rights Council on 27th March. This is the first event of its kind which encourages active participation from child delegates at the UN.
